X Factor: Louis Walsh Defends Voting Out Laura White
Louis Walsh has defended the decision to vote off X Factor star Laura White after the judges faced a backlash from viewers last night.
Laura was voted off after being in the bottom two after the public vote. She competed against Ruth Lorenzo in the showdown, with Walsh’s deciding vote seeing her leave the competition.
Louis was booed by the studio audience as he discussed his decision on ITV2′s Xtra Factor, but he insisted that the public voters were to blame for the result.
"Do you know what? They can boo all they want," Walsh said. "The girls were in the bottom two, somebody didn’t vote for them. People at home often vote for the person they feel sorry for most of all."
Louis was then asked to name a finalist who’s "getting away with" delivering poor performances and Louis replied, "Daniel, by a mile."
"But you know, there’s going to be someone in the bottom two every week," Walsh continued. "One person’s going to win the series. But when Ruth sang ‘Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door’, wow! I had to keep her."
Dannii Minogue has defended Louis, saying that he tends to be blamed only because he was called on to vote last.
"Louis has had it every week [when] it gets to his deciding vote," she explained. "It’s the hardest seat to sit in. Please don’t put me in that seat!"
So what do you think? Can you forgive Louis for his bad choices over the last two weeks? I know I certainly can’t!!
