X Factor judge Louis Walsh has admitted that his worst moment on the show this year, was when he discovered he would be mentoring the groups again.

Reminding us that he has had the groups for four out of the past six series, Walsh told the Daily Mirror:

“My worst moment [on the show this year] came when I got the Groups again.

“I thought, ‘What am I going to do? It’s my sixth year and I’ve had them four times, what am I going to do?’.”

He added: “Simon [Cowell] and Cheryl [Cole] got the two best categories this year, they had so much to choose from.

“People think it is staged but you just don’t know what you will get until you walk into that room.”

Louis also revealed that he was at first unsure about whether to put John and Edward Grimes through to the live shows.

He said: “I love Jedward and they’re going to be huge. But the hardest decision I had in the show was deciding whether to choose them as one of my final acts.

“I just didn’t know whether to put them through. It was a really tough call.

“Luckily, I made the right decision in the end. I didn’t listen to my head, I listened to my heart.”
