X Factor: Marcus Collins teases new album and can’t wait for the tour!
Marcus Collins has insisted that he didn’t rush release his debut album, to the detriment of the music it contains.
The X Factor runner up is due to put out his self titled record next month, a week after his first single ‘Seven Nation Army’ hits the shelves. It has only taken him and Take That star Gary Barlow three months to put the album together, but he told The Daily Record that the short time frame is no indication of the quality of his songs and explained:
The songs are really good, we haven’t jeopardised the quality of the music for the timescale. We have gone on and worked really hard on it. I think everyone will really like it and I’m proud of it.
Speaking specifically about his new single, which of course is a cover of a popular White Stripes tune, he added:
I’m really pleased with the new take we’ve done on it, it’s good.
Speaking about what else we can expect to be on his album, the Liverpudlian star continued:
I think that’s one of the most modern ones, I’ve tried to mix the old school with some more contemporary stuff, so that’s a good representation of it.
Marcus is starting rehearsals for the upcoming X Factor tour, which kicks off later this month and he admitted that he ‘can’t wait’ to see pals such as Craig Colton and Misha B once more. Collins said:
I can’t wait to catch up with all the old X Factor guys again, it’s going to be fun.
