X Factor: Matt Cardle is ‘cr*pping’ himself about performing in front of Gary Barlow
Matt Cardle has confessed that he is worried about performing his debut single on The X Factor.
Last year’s series winner is on the brink of releasing the track ‘Run For Your Life’ from his first studio album ‘Letters’ and eager though he is to start releasing music properly, the former painter and decorator admitted that he is terrified about returning to the ITV stage.
To make matters worse, Matt has to perform the song, in front of it’s writer, new judge Gary Barlow, which adds another element of fear to the experience.
When asked by the PunchBowl Blog if he’d be performing on the live shows next month, Cardle said:
“I think so. It’s not 100% yet, but I hope so.
“I will be crapping my pants once again on that show, but I will be with my band and singing something I really feel.”
He added: “I thought it would be great because Simon [Cowell] won’t be there and he won’t be judging me with his hawk eye, but Gary wrote that track and I want to sing it with the conviction it deserves.”
Matt recently confessed that he was a bit cross with his boss Simon Cowell, for allowing One Direction to release their music before him, because he feels that they may overshadow his career and chart position.
