X Factor Matt Cardle’s ‘Amazing’ EP has sits just outside the iTunes top ten after one day’s sales

Matt Cardle is back and can we just say that he looked totally delectable on Daybreak this morning…but onto more important things.

The former X Factor winner has released his latest single ‘Amazing’ this week, and bundled it with three other tracks to make an EP and after only one day of sales, it is already sitting at the number 13 spot in iTunes downloads chart.

The collection includes ‘Amazing,’ along with an new version of “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” and original tracks “All Is Said” and “Slowly” which was recorded live in KOKO club.

The EP has also been released via Amazon and currently sits at the number 65 on their MP3 Albums chart, and at number 23 on the MP3 Downloads chart.

The official charts company will reveal where the single placed in this week’s UK singles chart on Sunday but we are crossing our fingers, toes and even our eyes in the hope that one of the most credible people to ever have graduated from the ITV show, will chart in the top twenty at least.

Next thing you know, Matt will be looking towards album number two and speaking to Heat, he admitted that he would love to duet with Coldplay’s Chris Martin on the record.

The former painter and decorator explained:

“A dream collaboration would be Chris Martin. I think he’s an absolute genius and I would love to work with him. I know that he’s a busy boy and in one of the biggest bands in the world, but if he has five minutes, half an hour or half a day sometime.”

What a talent!! Matt is one of a rare breed of songwriter/singer/musicians that the music business is severely lacking these days. The 4 songs on this EP show Matt’s range both vocally and from the songwriter in him. This is on EP that everyone should buy. Then in the years to come, we can all say “hey, I have one of Matt’s EPs from 2012. I knew then he was going to be HUGE!!”

I genuinely believe in this guy i think his voice is incredible and despite all the x factor negativity im prepared to make an exception for this guy. Its not a show i normally watch but this guy caught my attention just over a year ago. I think they found a rare gem with this guy, he can play the guitar superbly and his voice is haunting. I anticipate that this guy is going to write a genius song that will launch him to the forefront of every genuine music fans mind.

Englishmen should be proud that MC is one of them. He is really a great musician. I’m just regret that I probably will not see him sing live.

Matt’s album in my opinion is the best I’ve heard for years, I thought the EP would have hit the top of the charts especially as it features four great songs – very disappointed that Matt’s unique talent may not be getting the deserved recognition. Hopefully things will change in his favour following his tour because his amazing songs and vocals are best heard live.
