Aston Merrygold has admitted that he hasn’t been on a date in months and confessed that he is well and truly single.

The 23 year old singer – who rose to fame when his four piece boyband JLS finished second in the 2008 series of The X Factor – has thousands of female fans but despite half of his group being settled down with a serious girlfriend, he can’t seem to find the time for women.

Aston told The Mirror:

“I am still single through choice ­because no one has caught my eye.

“It sounds bad but I’ve been working so much that I’m literally just in work mode.

“We want to make the best album there is so I haven’t been on dates for months.”

JLS’ third studio album is set for release on November 14, 2011. The first single from the record – titled She Makes Me Wanna – will be available for download from tomorrow.
