Rylan Clark has issued a plea on Youtube this afternoon.
The former X Factor contestant has recorded a video for ITV, appealing for singers around the UK to audition for the singing competition and considering the calibre of Clark’s vocal skills, we weren’t surprised when he didn’t ask for talented ones.
The former model, turned singer, turner Celebrity Big Brother winner, turned presenter says:
Two years ago I auditioned for The X Factor and I remember thinking that I probably wouldn’t get through, so I wasn’t going to go. But now, two years on I realise that would have been the biggest mistake of my life. The X Factor completely changed my life. It could do the same for you too.
If you think you have got what it takes to impress Simon and the judges, logon to itv.com/xfactor and make that first step to becoming the superstar that you are.
We always love his wit though and he made us giggle when he added:
I do sound like I’m appealing for money I think.
Meanwhile, in other X Factor news, Steve Jones has admitted that he’s keen for Cheryl Cole to return to the panel.
It’s been rumoured that the Geordie beauty has all but inked her deal with Simon Cowell, after demanding a £2 million pay packet, use of his private jet and apparently even assurances that she’ll be the only female judge.
Jones worked with the Promise This hitmaker for the few weeks that she took part in The X Factor USA and while he wouldn’t open up on the reasons behind her dismissal he did add:
“She probably should [return to the ITV show], she was very good at it.”
Cole was replaced by Nicole Scherzinger on the US show in 2011 and soon after Steve suffered the same fate, as he was dropped and replaced with Mario Lopez. However he has no regrets, as despite running for two more seasons, the show never reached the dubious heights of it’s first run and just last month it was cancelled after suffering from plummeting ratings in 2013.
Jones teased that he was ‘proud’ to have been part of the ‘best series’ of the American version.
Steve is returning to the UK and is on the lookout for more British TV work, but fear not X Factor fans, Dermot O’Leary is going nowhere and will be back for the 2014 run!
So far only Simon Cowell is confirmed for the panel, but along with Cheryl other stars rumoured for the lineup include Olly Murs, Rita Ora and even Lionel Richie!
Cole has been more concerned with her personal life than her career this week though, and she’s shared a picture of herself hugging best friend Kimberley Walsh.
The latter revealed yesterday that she’s pregnant with her first child and last night Cole tweeted about her delight. She later posted a picture of her cuddling her BFF and captioned it:
“Emotional hugs for an emotional day…”
Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle gave birth to her first child last month.
