X Factor: Olly Murs hasn’t spoken to Simon Cowell
Former X Factor finalist Olly Murs has admitted that he hasn’t spoken to Simon Cowell since he acted as his mentor on the show last year.
The Essex singer has just released his debut single ‘Please Don’t Let Me Go’ and his album will follow later this month. Olly was signed to Cowell’s Syco label and Epic Records, and although Simon has not spoken to him in person, Olly insists that he has heard his new record and approved of all the songs.
He told The Daily Star:
“Simon hasn’t been in touch because he’s too busy with The X Factor.
“But he’s had a say on the songs and has loved all the stuff that I’ve done.
“I’m so ecstatic about my new single, it just all pieced together so well.”
