X factor contestant, Rachel Hylton, had a bad night last Saturday and being in the bottom two really knocked her confidence.

On Sunday, following conversations with Dannii at routining, it was decided that she would take over some ownership of her performance/styling and choreography for this week’s show, so with Dannii’s support she’s picked the song, the outfit and worked with Brian on the dance routine for this weekend Mariah Carey special.

Rachel even went shopping for her own clothes this week as she is sure she can do a better job with her ‘look’ than show stylist Faye.

She told ITV.com, "I really like the show stylist Faye; I think she’s a down-to-earth, lovely woman".

"But I don’t think she’s got me exactly – she’s not sure quite what to put me in.

"The dress I wore on Saturday was a bit tight. I felt like a pregnant woman waddling across the stage.

"And I look like a forty year old woman up there – I’m not even thirty. So I’m going out to find something to wear – I know when I look good in clothes."

She added, "I know I’m very voluptuous compared with the other girls and it can look bad when you see it bad on TV".

"There was one dress I wore that I loved – the green dress. But I had to cry to get that, because they said if I wore it my arms would look fat."

"The thing is, I need clothes that fit me a certain way, that bring out my best bits."

She is planning to hit the high street to find her outfit:

"No one needs to spend a lot of money – I know where to get shoes, dresses, accessories. I can pick up bits and pieces for £2 from New Look.

"I don’t mean to be disrespectful to Faye – I really do like her.

"But if anyone knows how to dress me, it’s me. I’ll fit the show’s theme and colour scheme, whatever they need. But I know how to wear clothes. And I promise you, I will look stunning".
