X Factor: Rhydian Fans Couldn’t Get Through!
Many Rhydian Roberts fans, who tried to vote for him win the X Factor on Saturday night have insisted that there was a fault with the phone system, that prevented them from getting through and registering their vote.
One fan, Emma Newton, told The Sun: “I tried and tried and tried to vote for Rhydian and the phone was constantly engaged.”
Samuel Legg, from Yeovil, Somerset, added: “I could not vote for Rhydian even after trying hundreds of times and constantly checking I had dialled the correct number.
“If the voting was close and one could not get through, were there enough lines? Was there some form of miscarriage?”
But a show spokeswoman last night denied any conspiracy, saying: “Both acts had the same number of lines available for fans to call.”

I had the same experience with trying to vote for Same Difference, I spent from when the lines opened until they closed trying to vote and it was continually engaged.

i also tried to vote for rhydian on saturday night when the phone lines opened, without success.

I too was unable to get through to vote for Rhydian. I was on a landline and got through to a recorded message repeatedly. What a travesty! Leon was in my bottom two throughout the series. Good luck Rhydian I wish you success.

Yeah, same problem here. My wife tried continuously from the time the lines opened and got the engaged tone or recorded message every time. If the same thing happened for Same Difference, it does appear like a real fix.
You hear of people voting many times each for Leon as well. So if it was a line capacity issue then it sounds like Leon’s lines were the least utilised, yet somehow he won. Hmmmm …

I couldnt get through when i tried to vote for little connie on britians got talent & also why do they open the lines straight away? Louis said if scotland start voting now straight after Leon started singing?! So that means that all the people who hadnt heard rhyds sing yet that were voting on talent not country might have voted for leon cos it was good & then didnt want to vote again for rhydian, but if the lines had been opened after both songs then they mite have voted for rhydian…it’s not fair. Poor rhyds he was sooooo good & hot too! x x x x x

Rhyd was robbed because of technical problems. A larger majority of Leon’s votes were already cast because he sang first. Rhydian’s fans had problems getting through because he was last to sing and couldn’t get through . A larger proportion of Rhydian’s fans NEVER cast their votes and couldn’t get through. Thats why Kylie won X factor.

I had the same problem. I tried Same Difference. After an hour of failing, I gave up and voted for Rhydian. Still it fails. Then I tried voting for Leon just to see what would happen and surprise surprise…. it works!
