X Factor hopeful Rhydian Roberts causes a stir in tonights X Factor bootcamp show. Rhydian shows up at bootcamp sure he will sail through Bootcamp. “I’ve trained as an opera singer for four years but when I’m on the operatic stage, I just don’t feel like I’m connecting with the masses.” I want to make it through to the final 12 because I know I can sell records. On stage I come alive.”

As Rhydian takes his place in front of the judges, he is asked to perform a song he would love to release as a single. Singing his own unique version of Delilah by Tom Jones, the judges are left divided. Sharon pulls no punches saying “I want to throw things at him, he’s revolting.” Simon concedes that Rhydian can sing but “he’s up his own arse and is the most conceited person I’ve ever met in my life.”

However after all the boys have had their chance and the judges must now decide who will make the final cut. As the judges deliberate, the one person they can’t agree on is opera singer Rhydian. “I’ve got to put this guy through” says Simon but Sharon is reaching breaking point on the subject. “Why have you got to put him through?” Simon responds “because I’m really passionate about this guy. There’s no one else you want to fight over?” An indignant Sharon cuts in with “I’m not fighting, this guy is an idiot, I want to kill him!”

Sharon has had enough and walks out of the deliberation room saying she is tired. Away from the other three judges, Sharon tells the cameras “He’s the most nauseating individual I’ve met in years, he can sing but I don’t see any likeability. They (the judges) are just not interested in what I’ve got to say.“ The judges reach their decision and its time to break the news to the boys that only 12 of them will make it through to London.
