X Factor hopeful Rhydian Roberts considered leaving the show before it had even began after seeing how his footage was edited for the X Factor primetime shows.

After realising that he was being painted as the big bad villain of the show, Rhydian failed to turn up at the finalists mansion last night and even considered quitting the show.

One friend told The Sun: “Rhyd is not happy about how he’s been made a laughing stock.

“He feels he’s been unfairly edited to look like an idiot, whereas the others are given more sympathetic editing and a chance to tell their sob stories. He was talking about quitting over it.”

However, producers eventually caught up with the welsh opera singer and persuaded him to move into the mansion and give the show one last try.

An insider said: “He’s going to try and get his real personality across on the live shows and hope people warm to him.”
