Richard peachy, X Factor contestant, spoke yesterday of his nightmare after being arrested and questioned in connection an alleged ‘happy slapping’ attack. The attack has left another man with a broken nose and jaw and a fractured cheekbone.

Richard who has made it through to the bootcamp of the hit reality television show X Factor, is one of five men being linked to an assault in Pentre, Rhondda.

The 18-year-old former Treorchy Comprehensive and Tonypandy Community College pupil has been released on police bail until November 6.

He denies being involved in the incident, at around 9pm on August 11, that put 20-year-old Paul Thomas in hospital.

Speaking about the incident yesterday, Mr Peachey said, ‘It is nothing at all to do with me.’
