X Factor: Rufus Hound thinks Kelly Rowland should ‘hang her head in shame’ over Sophie Habibis
Rufus Hound has hit out at X Factor judge Kelly Rowland and blamed her for Sophie Habibis’ elimination from the ITV show.
The 19 year old singer was slated on Saturday’s episode of the ITV series, after Gary Barlow branded her ‘as dull as dish water’ and Louis Walsh told her she performed like a ‘secretary who sings at the weekend.’
The North London girl had no backup on the panel, as her mentor Kelly Rowland had called in sick and replacement judge Alexandra Burke made matters worse by pointing out Sophie’s supposed ‘tuning issues.’
Two of Kelly’s acts were in the bottom two tonight and after she chose to save Misha B over Sophie, comedian Rufus Hound told The Xtra Factor that it was all her fault.
He ranted:
I think when Kelly comes back she should hang her head in shame. I sometimes get a bit of a sore throat and you know what, I turn up to work, I don’t hide in another country.
Caroline Flack tried to defend the Destinys Child star, saying that his work maybe doesn’t entail a twelve hour long transatlantic flight, but Rufus hit back saying:
What sit down for twelve hours, to what? Sit down again for twenty minutes and listen to singing, oh you;’re right, it sounds exhausting.
The only job you’ve got as mentor is to sit there and say why your acts are good and if nobody is there doing it, then your two will be in the bottom two.
Did those two deserve to be in the bottom two? No and we all know it!
He certainly says it like he sees it, but we want to know if you agree? Was Kelly wrong to abandon her acts, or as Misha B says, was it out of her control?

I lovelovelove Sophie and am gutted that she’s gone….but if Kelly hadn’t voted for her then Gary would have anyway and she’d still be gone. I think Tulisa only voted for her because of all the stick she’s getting for singling out Misha last week, maybe if she’d voted Misha someone would have sent it to dead-lock. I’m a big Sophie fan, but even I didn’t like it lastnight. I didn’t hate the performance, but I didn’t love it either. It should have been Frankie or The Risk voted off though :/ Hope we hear more from Sophie xxxx
Ok, in my opinion Frankie should go, and yes I blame Kelly Rowland for these 2 being in the bottom 2, they both had amazing voices but it doesn’t matter as much as it could as only the top 4 get anywhere, and even that isn’t guaranteed. The top 4 should be Kitty, Little Mix, Craig and Janet, Misha has a lovely voice but she’s too boring for me. Peoples hatred for Kitty is understandable based off her auditions, she was a horrible but she isn’t the same anymore.
