X Factor: Ruth Lorenzo to release debut album – The Raspberry Pattern

Ruth Lorenzo - X Factor 2008

After coming fifth in 2008’s X Factor and touring the UK & Ireland, Ruth Lorenzo is now pursing her musical career as an independent artist. She has been combining the preparation of her own album with writing for other artists. As seen on ITV series ‘Dannii: Style Queen’, Ruth has been heavily involved in the creative process of Dannii Minogue’s upcoming album, due next year, and continues to write songs for her former mentor.

She is currently putting the finishing touches to her debut album: “I have been working with some extremely talented writers and producers on a collection of songs of which not only I am proud of, but which represents who I am as an artist, writer and performer. An album that is true to my character and that hopefully will stand the test of time.”

For two years Ruth has been tailoring her writing skills to an English audience, with her fans waiting patiently. Now the moment everybody has been waiting for has finally arrived, with the Spanish songstress giving her fans an album written from the heart, she says:

“I know there are people out there waiting for me to release an album, but it’s not as easy as it seems.”

“I’m a little bit scared, because I’m exposing my heart and soul, and people will judge me. But singing is all I’ve ever wanted to do. Now I’m ready”.

Due to huge Internet demand and after topping the Twitter trending topics worldwide last weekend, Ruth Lorenzo will be performing a live acoustic version of her acclaimed version of ‘Purple Rain’ plus brand new single ‘Burn’ from the highly awaited debut album, The Raspberry Pattern, due next year. Ruth will also be answering fans questions on the live chat, plus revealing all her exciting plans for 2011.

Check in with Ruth at 6.30pm, Saturday 23rd October (18:30) for live stream performances & live chat.
