X Factor: School Principal Spends £3000 On Eoghan Quigg Campaign

Eoghan Quigg - X Factor 2008

X Factor contestant Eoghan Quigg seems to Ireland’s one big hope of winning the X Factor and it seems I can go nowhere in Northern Ireland without seeing a poster or car flag urging me to vote for him on Saturday night’s X Factor.

In fact, just last week I was dropping my five year old son into school when I noticed a ‘Vote For Eoghan’ poster on his class noticeboard. I asked the teacher if she knew the cutest boy on television this year, and she informed me that she had never met Eoghan. However his former principal is rumoured to have spent £3000 on printing out posters in support of the singing school boy and has sent a batch to EVERY school in Northern Ireland.

I am thrilled that finally Ireland has a singer we can all get behind….Lets face it, Phillip Magee and The Conway Sisters were nothing to brag about. Wouldn’t it be funny if Northern Ireland managed to churn out an X Factor winner in the first year the judges failed to host auditions on this island?
