The X Factor: Sharon Osbourne breaks down in floods of tears on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ as Jack Osbourne takes to the dance floor

We’re so used to seeing Sharon Osbourne falling on the floor from laughter or nearly cleaning herself out with a door as she’s too busy laughing on the UK X Factor.

However, last night American audiences saw a different side to Mrs O as she broke down in floods of tears on live TV after watching her son, Jack Osbourne dance on Dancing with the Stars.

Dancing with the Stars is the US version of our very own Strictly, which Jack is taking part in this year.

Last year, Jack was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis which is a debilitating condition. Tests have already shown that Jack has lost 60% vision in his right eye. MS is an incurable condition which damages the nerves and affects the transfer of messages around the body, meaning nobody really knows how bad Jack’s condition could get in the future.

After watching her son dance with his professional partner Cheryl Burke on last night’s show, Sharon broke down in tears when the shows host, Carrie Ann asked: “I want to know how Sharon’s feeling right now because momma bear should be so proud of her son”.

When asked why he had chosen to take part in the show this year, Jack said that he is physically able to do so right now, so he jumped at the chance as in the future, he may not be able to dance.

He told Ann: “Right now, I’m physically able to do DWTS but it might not always be this way, so I don’t want to miss this opportunity”.

Sharon is currently appearing as a judge on the UK X Factor, but it was crystal clear from day one that she would only be staying around for one series of the show.

After The X Factor comes to a close in December, Sharon isn’t just leaving the format but she is leaving the world of showbiz for good to focus on being a full-time granny.

The Sunday People reported last week that she will head back to LA following her stint on the show to live “an OAP lifestyle” with her husband Ozzy. She will also spend more time with her three children and granddaughter Pearl.

“The star is desperate to help son Jack, 27, recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis,” the newspaper reported.

Meanwhile, Sharon was also said to be devastated earlier this month when Jack and his wife Lisa Stelly announced she had suffered a miscarriage.
