The X Factor house is said to have descended into a state of chaos, with the final seven acts breaking rules left, right and centre.

Sources told The News Of The World that two of the singers were texting each other about their shared romantic feelings, John and Edward Grimes were caught watching porn and some of the acts were so close to a breakdown that a team of psychologists were called in.

An inside source on the show revealed: “Simon knows he has a duty of care to these youngsters and is determined to stamp the problems out NOW.”

The source revealed that Simon summoned families of the young people and laid down the law about their future on the show. He is also said to have insisted that the acts are split into separate male and female houses on next year’s series.

Simon is said to be extra vigilant with the youngsters after the problems they encountered with Britain’s Got Talents Susan Boyle earlier this year. A source said:

“Simon’s learnt so many lessons from what happened with Susan Boyle and is being more proactive this time. This has become the biggest show on TV with enormous pressures on the contestants and they’re just kids who have never experienced anything like this before in their lives.

“That’s why every resource is available to help them, including support workers and counsellors. Simon knows the house must be in order or it’ll have serious consequences for the show.”
