X Factor judge, Simon Cowell has finally spoken out about the gay rumours that have plagued him over recent years.

In response to claims that he is too effeminate to be straight, Simon responded:

“It’s probably my mother’s influence,” Cowell told the Daily Mail. “If I was, why hide it? It’s not as if the music business would be an odd place for a gay man to work. And anyway, if I was trying to hide the fact that I was gay, I would be off playing rugby every Saturday, wouldn’t I?”

I take Simon’s point on the rugby, but isn’t he the very man that makes a massive deal out of the amount of strip clubs he visits….is he really straight or is it all just an elaborate cover story?
