X Factor: Simon Cowell Offers Ray Quinn A Record Deal
Simon Cowell has revealed that he will be offering a record deal to X factor runner up Ray Quinn.
The X Factor judge and mentor will be taking Ray to the Los Angeles studios where Frank Sinatra used to record to produce his first album.
Cowell told the Daily Mirror: “I told Ray I was going to sign him. I wasn’t going to tell him yet but I had to after he behaved in such a dignified manner.
“His reaction was amazing. After what he did for Leona, I didn’t want him to go home miserable.
“We’re sending him to LA to record a swing album in the same place Frank Sinatra used.”

I am soooooooo happy for Ray getting a record deal, i was devestated when Kate announced Leona had won - i so wanted Ray to do it! But then the winners song was meant for a girl - so she did have the advantage! If they hadnt have had tht silly song thn Ray would hav had the same chance as Leona!
Can’t wait for the next series to start and see all the nutters in the auditions! i may even do it myself!!

I was so gutted that ray never won. He’s such a lovely guy. I have a son who’s 14 so it was like watching him on telly. I know his parents must be very proud of him. Good on you Ray. You so deserved to win - you had the best voice by far.

I also think Susan he had more than a good voice, My Way and You’ll never walk alone are hard songs to sing and ‘perform’ but he did them perfectly, no over the top dramatics, every word clearly heard and an appropriate vocal to match the meaning of the songs, I feel Ray showed himself to be far more than just another voice, he has charisma, dancing talent, the full entertainment factor and true grit too.For me he should have won, no major disrespect to Leona but without her voice there aint much there that was shown on x factor, Ray was amazing, he deserves the contract and although maybe chart toppers may elude him I feel on albums and live his longevity could far exceed Leonas because he also has a unique factor too.The lad did great and did a lot more than just sing.Rod.

I am definitely going to buy his album. I have just watch some re-runs of Rays early auditions and he was fantastic. He has got a very clear and pure voice. He doesn’t need any backing music at all.

we love ray !!!!!! and were so chuffed hes getting a record deal. he is the bestest person ever in the whole world and such an amazing singer . WE WANT TO MEET HIM… ITS NOT FAIR !!!! go ray we love you and cant wait to but your album.hopefully aint that a kick in the head will be on it xxxxxxx

oh my god Ray is amazing i love him soooo much! he’s going to do just as well as Leona because he is a true performer, and nothing against Leona because her voice is amazing, but Ray really does have the full package. and he is exactly what they should be looking for in the x factor. still, hes got a record deal now and thank you sooo much simon cowell because Ray is just a babe and i love him so much!!! x x x x x x x x x x x x

Good on ya ray its nice to see a lad who’ll sing a song for himself or to prove a point i.e My way, and not singing songs just to impress the judges and everyone could see you where by far the best singer in the contest.
