Personally I don’t think that Ashley is as talented vocal wise as many of the others on the show (well at least Leona & Ben) but he did have something extra, arguably the x-factor – but maybe the public are voting correctly on purely vocal talents..(omitting the McDonald Brothers here), so if thats the case Ashley was due to go.

I disagree that Ben has limited appeal – just because he’s not boy band material doesn’t mean he will fade away, he has an amazing voice and sounds fantastic.

And to ask another question, what if the unexpected happens & the McDonald brothers win the show…then I think they will fade away w/o question

Well Tan I cant sing but it doesnt mean I dont know who can, I have an opinion and just because I dont agree with you doesnt mean I have no right to express it just as you do your opinion.I LIKED ASHLEY, but he has a style of singing that isnt suited to the dire songs SIMON has made him sing in these silly themed weeks.ASHLEY needed certain songs to bring the best out of him.He was badly let down by Simon as a mentor.As for Saturday, I thought ASHLEY had the hardest song,WINNER TAKES IT ALL, he gave it his best shot but he was totally unsuited to it. Personally I was sad he went but ROBERT performed better on the night.IT WAS THE PUBLIC AT LARGE WHO PUT ASHLEY IN THE BOTTOM 2 AGAIN!! BUT REALLY IT WAS SIMON’S FAULT,he has not nurtured the great talent ASHLEY has and in fact ruined it by making him do rediculous songs in the themed weeks which WAS S imons rule anyway.Thats only my opinion but its shared by a lot of people I know who also have felt the themed weeks was a hindrance to the acts this year.Rod,Newcastle

Simon is so smug.IF those 3 acts are in the final no doubt IT WILL BE A BORING ONE..ASHLEY I can hardly make out what he says, LEONA cant sing easily in the soft register, BEN is the best of the 3 listed but WILL have limited appeal only one act has universal across the board appeal and that Simon is ETON ROAD.
