X Factor: Simon Cowell to drop Shayne Ward?

Simon Cowell is reportedly planning to drop Shayne Ward from his record label SYCO.

The singer won the X Factor in 2005 and made his comeback on a recent ITV results show. However his single Gotta Be Somebody only reached number 12 in the UK charts and album Obsession peaked at number 15.

A source told the News of the World: “Shayne is finished at SyCo. Simon has tried his best to turn him into a star but it simply hasn’t worked.

“He gave Shayne one more chance after ending his working relationship with Louis but his music hasn’t connected with the public.

“The chances of him being a popstar again are incredibly low. It’s a huge personal blow to Shayne.

“For a long time people thought he’d become the next Robbie Williams. But the music industry is ruthless and he is costing the company a lot of money at the moment.”

They added:

“Shayne is also quite arrogant about his music [and] isn’t the easiest person to work with.

“He will be quietly let go next year and the focus will turn to the new crop of X Factor contestants.”

He’d no talent from the start-so egocentric botox boy Cowell moves on.If I was Subo I’d do a runner-you’ve no talent either.Steve Brookstein, you’re no longer alone-why don’t you and the other collection of Cowells losers get together and form a band called the Never has Beens and knock out a “charity” single-naturally with all profits going to charity. And hey presto you’re back in the limelight-for fifteen minutes. And five minutes of fame Cardle can join you,and help with the decorating.
