X Factor: Simon Cowell Worried That Leona Lewis Can’t Win
Simon Cowell has admitted that he is worried that his most promising X Factor act won’t be able to win the show.
“There’s still something that bothers me because historically girls don’t win these competitions,” Cowell explained. “I’ve seen this happen before. When you vote for someone like Leona it’s like you’ve had a hand in her career. You’ve helped launch somebody who may do very well. Just as easily you can snuff it out.”
However, despite Simon doubting her chances, many of the people watching seem to be backing Leona, and that group includes top boyband Westlife. After meeting Leona during show rehearsals this week they stated:
“We’ve done a duet with Mariah Carey in the past but I think if Leona was singing Mariah’s part she’d fit in well,” Shane Filan admitted. “She could be up there with Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, any of them.”

OKAY,LEONA has a superb voice and fantastic vocal range,however talent KNOWS how to harness that.With the exception of ‘SUMMERTIME’ Leona has done the SAME format each week, the gentle startwhich she has problems with) then stronger vocalswhich she is first class at),then we get this middle kind of screech and hard labour on a note or word in the song which only requires to be sung not over dramatised,it is here she goes off and actually ruins the song she’s singing. The big finish she does great normally however on SATURDAY she was stuggling with the vocals and near failed till she pushed up to a higher range. Leona always seems to be a little uncomfortable on stage and all the contortions ,why you need to near buckle your knees to sing a simple ballad is beyond me.A GREAT TALENT, NOT FLAWLESS and A BIT OF WORK TO DO ON FINE TUNING,Listening to her is great, watching detracts from her talent.ROD..

Leona has no problems with her vocals at all. She is in complete control of her voice and what comes out is exactly what she intends to come out.
No point in being bitter, the YouTube Stats gives you all the information you need. Just handle it.

leona’s annoying gets on my nerves. the way she tries to copy mariah and the way she tries to act so innocent and sweet. and the fact that she actually knows that she is going to get the public vote but when kate says her name she pretends to cry irritates me even more. ray 2 win

i agree with helen…ray 2 win!! leona is 2 predictable and she only ever seems to do ballards and why is that…?! because she can’t perform!! she needs to stop trying to be so much like mariah carey, we dont need another mariah carey.leona has got an amazing voice but she is boring, ray on the other hand is a real entertainer,he has got the whole package…the voice, the confidence, the dance moves, the cheeky smile, and like i say he is an entertainer and that it what we want.Leona has only got one of these and that is the voice.she makes out that she has no confidence so how does she expect to make it in the music industry?! she needs to build up her confidence and then consider becoming a pop star! i am going to most definately be voting for ray, and i really hope he wins x

I think everybody should stop ripping into Leona and saying that she is copying Maria Carey. That is the voice Leona has got and the songs she can sing with it. Although i do want Ray to win i think the final will be a clsoe call.

i thort ray should have won becasue leona would have got a recprd contract anyway so i think she has a good voice but ray has the personalilty. hes bubbly and a lil cheeky lad. i just ray.

i think leona lewis is great she is cleary one of the best singers
out there, and has the looks to match her vocal talent. but im
geting fed up of people saying that she is representing “black” britsh people,she is representing mixedrace people,im mixedrace myself and feel that one shouldnt feel the need to chose to be black or white and just be who thay are and thats mixedrace,feel black people just wanna latch on to her stardom by saying shes black, yet when thay ready thay dont call you black!!give people a few months thay will be hateing on her like thay do to beyonce because shes lighter skinded than kelly.

I’m so pleased that leona lewis won the x factor cause she deserve it, she got the x factor(the voice,the talent, the look) Yet again you only judge some1 on their personality!! Many people might not like it but dis is the reality leona lewis won like it or not she’ll be a very successful singer world famous… Gd luck gal!!!!

Like Simon was just saying leona wasn’t going to win just so peps didn’t think it was fix. I know it wasn’t a fix cause she was the best singer in it. But like I think Simon slept with Leona he has never got one bad thing to say to her. She’s even going to make an appearance on American Idol. I feel sorry for simon’s girlfriend Terry cause he’s always being unfaithful like remember the model he went with in 2006 Jasmine. But he even admitted on tele he can’t stay faithful but I Love him cause he’s such a charmer.
