X Factor: Sinitta says Danyl Johnson is ‘messed up’ tonight
X Factor hanger on Sinitta has been tweeting away all night and an hour ago she revealed that her thoughts are with Danyl Johnson today.
Sinitta says that the pressure of being in the bottom two has gotten to Danyl and that his head is ‘messed up’ this weekend.
Posting on Twitter, Sinitta said:
” A moment about Danyl, Seriously the guys head is messed up,all the pressure of the last week is taking its toll,like he lost his spirit.”
She added:
“I actually felt like crying, he said he is going to keep a brave face but his eyes were the saddest I have ever seen, I hope he doesn’t cave.”
So is Dan really that upset or is Sinitta just acting as part of Mr Cowell’s publicity machine and pushing his acts to the fore? Leave your opinions below!

Having just seen his performance, it doesn’t seem like a Cowell-designed act at all. He genuinely looks like his world’s been shaken to the core. To be fair, I haven’t heard many bad things said about him outside of the press (more than can be said for John and Edward!)… He’s still one of the best singers left imo, and this competition is primarily about talent.
What is wrong with some of the judges and the press for heavens sake it makes such a change to see such talent as Daniel in fact he is the best talent to be discovered since Will Young. I do hope he goes onto the final and eventually the winner he most certainly deserves it.
it broke my heart to see danyl so low this evenig. i thoght at once stage he was going to stop singing and leave. i was willing him to pull himself together.
he is an amazing artist and poses a huge threat to the other contestants. i think people are confusing his confidence with ….passion. he has a passion for signing and after each of his performances he leaves me speechless and in awe. go danyl goxxxx

Give Danyl a break! Simon got it right tonight. The previous 3 weeks, he’s been blasted and battered at by the judges for being too cocky, and now that he’s evidently lost his confidence, he’s being told he needs to be cocky. Make up your mind judges. His obvious loss of confidence is not faked. And i don’t believe it had much to do with being in the bottom two. If anyone saw xtra factor last week, he thought he might be in the bottom two before it happened. It had everything to do with the press. “The most hated contestant”, “More hated than Hitler” – can you honestly say that wouldn’t dent anyone’s confidence. It’s awful that he’s being treated this way in the press. This is a SINGING competition and whether people like him or not, he is one of…if not the..best singer in the competition. His performance tonight was not that terrible, first verse maybe but he hit the notes that he needed too. Cheryl was right last week when she said, “anything less than perfect from Danyl will deemed a failure” – he wasn’t as good this week as he usually is and its been deemed a failure. This guy has more pressure on him to be perfect every week due to his perfect first audition than any other contestant.
He’s trying. He deserves to be there because he has an incredible voice. But tonight, he knows the judges think he has a great voice but i think for him, he knows there are millions of people watching at home, and right now he must be thinking the majority of people watching me hate me and thats got to be hard, to sing on tv to an audience who he believes from the papers absolutely hate him.
Its not fair. Stacey has confirmed there’s been no bullying from him, he doesn’t deserve the hatred he’s getting. He has an amazing voice and that’s all that shoudl count in this competition. He’s lost his confidence. Give him a break, He’s doing the best he can and he is, fact, one of the BEST singers in the competiton!
I think his performance was real. I just wanna hug him, he is so sweet. I hope he get his confident back.

There is no play acting coming from Danyl or Simon – plenty from the other 3 judges though. Each of them are systematically trying to destroy this young man’s confidence and they should be ashamed of themselves. One wonders which one of them is behind all the bad press about him!!
I have to say that with a talented singer getting slated and a couple of untalented singers getting so much support, for me the integrity of the whole show is in question.
Everyone vote for him this week. His confidence has had a huge knock this week because of the absolutely awful press he’s been receiving.
For anyone that doesn’t know, the headline of an article in a popular magazine this week was ‘Is Danyl Johnson the most hated X Factor contestant EVER?’ Someone posted on Twitter that he was more hated than Hitler. The amount of bisexual bashing that accompanies is name on a lot of internet sites is so disgusting it makes me ashamed to be British. His name has been coupled with cocky and arrogant since the first week, when I’m yet to see any of it.
He’s a world class artist and I completely agree with D Richardson in the comment that he’s the best talent to come out of one of these shows since Will Young. For goodness sake, vote for him and let’s take back X Factor and make it about what it’s supposed to be about. The show is awful at the moment, and the judges (excepting Simon) are doing everything they can to batter Danyl’s confidence, particularly Cheryl, because they know that he is the number one threat to their artists. Last week, it worked.
Bad press for Jedward is rapidly turning into good press because they’re viewed as funny and entertaining. Yeah, okay, that may be so, but they don’t belong on a competition like the X Factor. It’s about singing. They can’t sing. They need to go. Full stop.
Please everyone who loves Danyl as much as I do, VOTE FOR HIM! He may be in trouble this week and he shouldn’t be.
My first thought when Danyl began to sing: “Simon’s working his little P.R. crap, making Danyl out to be a broken man.” The other judges were right: anyone else who’s been in the bottom two, particularly Rachel, have come back each week trying harder, with guns blazing (we’re talking about kids under 20 here, folks); but Danyl is so upset, he can’t get his act together. Give me a break!! And for the bleeding hearts who accuse the judges of “breaking this young man’s confidence”, ask yourself what Simon does systematically to the younger performers every single show, especially when he makes judgements on things other than their singing. Danyl (along with his beloved Simon) is a 28 year old man who has set himself up for huge criticism. The judges were right, he was lousy.
daniel is amazing, i cant get through to vote for him beacuse the lines say there is a problem, this is all rigged, i love him and cant belive how rude people can be! the xfactor is a talent show… listen to his voice, he is BRILLIANT!! people need to stop judging people on their private lives and being so rude!

Wendy you are sooo right! Those judges should be ashamed of themselves for trying to demoralise Danyl week after week – John & Edward are cocky and they can’t sing or dance while Danyl is so talented. I can’t see why he has been labled as unlikeable. He seems really sweet to me and if he is confident its because he is so talented. It was so sad to see him so shaky this week, I wanted to give him a big hug and tell him loads of people think he is FANTASTIC. Danyl to win!!!
Cheryl Cole quite obviously does not like Danyl who, unlike her, CAN sing! – but she has to be careful – her and Simon are so busy buttering each others egos – she won’t want to offend Simon – what is it with those 2. Dannii and Louis are great judges
Cheryl would do well to remember that she is getting by largely on those big brown eyes and slim figure and link with Ashley Cole – her own voice is not a patch on any of the contestants….except the twins!

It seems quite a few above have fallen for this sham of an act. The PR machine was working overtime this week to keep Simon’s favourite boy in the competition.
It was absolutely no surprise to me that we saw him crest fallen and in tears…AGAIN this weekend. I feel sure he was directed to look a sad as can be. If the voting public had half a brain they would get shot of him at the very next opportunity. And for one so astute (allegedly) as Simon, can he not see this boy is not popular. He has put all his eggs in the wrong basket and should quit trying to manipulate the audience just because he regards Johnson as a massive cash cow stateside based on the reaction to his YouTube video audition. They might be fool enough to buy his songs over there, but he will flop big time here. The person he should be investing his efforts into is Ollie Murs. Unlike Johnson he has the likability factor and he can really sing! If marketed correctly he has the possibilty for real longevity, oops what was I thinking, Simon doesn’t want artists like that, just a fast buck and throw them on the scrapheap when they have passed their sell by date! (Unless they are Leona Lewis of course). I personally cannot wait for the tide to turn on X Factor and Britain’s got Talent they are so tired and predictable, surely there must be an end in sight to them and the egomaniac that is Mr Simon Cowell.

Danyl Johnson has to be one of the most over rated singers in the competition.
There is also something very false about him-sensitivity and humbleness are not in his make up, and to see him trying to act like this is laughable.
However a reasonable actor he is – turn on the tears and get the weep vote – absolutely pathetic.
Yes it, and Sinitta et al are all part of a publicity drive for Mr Cowell.
There are better singers in the competition (NOT the accountant in the Halloween afro wig, or the cheeky Essex lad who has stolen my granddads wig) so yeah Simon Cowell is running scared, but it will not work.
People in general don’t like Danyl’s personality and he can pretend all he wants to be different but he has shown his true self and people do not forget.
He has systematically bullied other contestants-FACT.

the thing is I agree with almost everything you say EXCEPT I think it is Danyl who is the “lamb to the slaughter” not me. I wouldn’t waste a penny voting on the show but i do think Danyl is a good singer and performer and just don’t understand why he has become the victime of a witchunt. I am sure he didn’t ask to be compared to Hitler. Why do we hate anyone with confidence in this country? every time someone starts getting some recognition for being good at anything we take pleasure in knocking them – we are famous for it throughout the world. You have to admit his first audition was impressive. No? So don’t vote for him. But your personal comments about him aside, (you don’t know what he is really like after all) your comments about the show are absolutely right, of course.
Thats a good point Barbara – at the end of the day it is Danyl to the slaughter and I do have a small amount of pity for him in that respect.
Yes his first audition was good and clearly he is talented but personally I just don’t get him and think there are better singers on the show.
You are absolutely right the British press, along with it’s readers, do like to build people up to rip them apart-except they seem to be doing the reverse with Danyl!!!!
I think this series of xfactor has for the first time shown a lot of people what a manipulative and contrived show it is, and it has bred a whole generation of kids who don’t want to do anything except be famous and that involves becoming part of what has turned into one of the most exploitative t.v. shows around.
Prime example the twins, and there is a part of me that hopes these 2 little talentless horrors win-purely cause it will be a huge vote against Cowell’s show and him personally-the twins, win or lose ,will be back in oblivion this time next year.
Of course this show finds very talented people but the number it throws on the xfactor heap is amazing-so many are praised to heaven and back and 2 months later did Cowell sign them, did anyone else- no.
The whole thing is becoming quite depressing – I predict the first xfactor contestant suicide is not far away, and that is very sad whoever it is.

I don’t agree however with wanting those talentless horrors, the twins to win the show – it would be an insult to the others in the show who do have some talent. It wouldn’t be completely naive to hope that a success story for someone could come out of this money-go-round of Simon’s. After all JLS, Will Young and the fantastic Leona Lewis got started thanks to him.
