X Factor bosses have banned the contestants from using Twitter, in case they let out any secrets or show surprises.

Instead of them each using their own personal Twitter accounts, staff now update the official stream with boring updates such as:

Stacey: “I’m cooking sausage and mash mmm! Could be a disaster. So excited to see my costume!” Danyl: “In the house watching telly and relaxing…”

Lloyd: “Hey everyone, can’t believe the time! Today’s flown past so quickly. Thinking of the amazing support. Thanks so much.”
