The X Factor stars have struggled to control their emotions after they visited children at London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital this week.

Stacey Solomon found the experience particularly harrowing as drew parallels between the young children and her toddler son.

MSN quote Stacey, 20, as saying: “I think the reality is that it doesn’t matter what, it can happen to anyone at any age – no one’s immune to anything. But I can’t think of anything worse than your child being ill. Nothing compares to that.”

Danyl Johnson, who also visited the ward, said: “It just makes you weigh up everything that’s going on with your life. You meet the parents who are going through the hardest time ever – no one wants their kid to be ill ever.”
