Steve Jones has denied rumours that he is dating Nicoe, Scherzinger.

The brunette beauty recently split from her long term boyfriend Lewis Hamilton and was said to be seeking solace in the arms of the hunky Welsh star, who she works with on Simon Cowell’s American X Factor series.

Insiders had reported that the presenter and the judge had been ‘inseparable’ ever since Nicole found herself without a man in her life, however the handsome host set the record straight.

Steve told Access Hollywood Live that he and Scherzinger are just friends, explaining:

“I’m a friend, I’m there if she needs me.”

“No, I’m not helping her through it. I am single.”

We’d say Nicole has had a lucky escape. After all Lewis recently admitted that their split had come about because she wanted to settle down and have children, while he didn’t yet feel ready for that level of commitment. We somehow can’t see Steve as the settling down type either….can you?
