X Factor auditionee, Suzie Furlonger has revealed that she is determined to make it through to the finals of this years show after having been dropped by a record label twice already.

Suzie told The News Of The World: “I grew up in a small village in Shropshire, and couldn’t ever imagine becoming a pop star.

“Then I went to visit family one weekend in London, and bumped into a girl and got talking.

“I told her I did some singing and she told me she was in a band ( The 411s) who were looking for a fourth member.”

Suzie joined the band and they enjoyed two top-five hits, with “Dumb”, and “On My Knees” featuring US hip-hop star Ghostface Killer.

One of the girls highlights was starring alongside ex-Spice Girl Geri Haliwell on Top of the Pops, but Geri must have been having an off day!

“One of the girls, Tish, had danced in a Spice Girl’s video, so said hi. Geri looked at us with a sneer on her face, said she didn’t remember, then said ‘Good luck with your little girlband’.

“It was so patronising, I thought so much for Girl Power.”

Suzie’s band was dropped soon after, though she was offered a development contract with Polydor. She was dropped just nine months later.

“Being released twice in one year was too much for me. There’s only so many times you can have your dreams taken away from you before you decide to call it a day.”

Two years on and Suzie is finally ready to get back out there and try her hand at the fame game once more. Do you think she can make it to the final 12?
