X Factor: T’Pau’s Carol Decker calls Gary Barlow a ‘twat’ after Amelia Lily insult
Carol Decker has hit out at X Factor judge Gary Barlow, after he criticised her singing on tonight’s live ITV show.
The T’Pau singer was at first interested when she heard that Amelia Lily would be performing her hit single ‘China In Your Hand’ on tonight’s quarter final and after the performance tweeted:
Great voice odd backing.
However just minutes later she wasn’t half as happy. When critiquing Amelia’s rendition, Gary Barlow told the 17 year old contestant:
Last weekend you were in the bottom two and you’ve come back with a performance like that tonight. Congratulations and well done.
I remember the original of this song and it was nice to hear it sang in tune for once!
Kelly Rowland added that she had never even heard of the song when Amelia first mentioned it to her.
Carol took to her Twitter page straight away and hit back saying:
Gary Barlow you twat! & I had to suffer a Take That concert for the sake of my kids this summer
She added:
@GBarlowOfficial what’s your f*cking problem ? I actually have perfect pitch

you have to feel sorry for Gary, hes being paid a shed load of money to make sure no-one goes out and downloads the excellent original rather than the X factor version.

I think this singer of T’PAU have no sense of humour like Sinead O’Connor. China in your hand and Nothings compare to you, was just one hit wonder. And they have to be grateful for that, atleast for a minute they were known then. But anything else…they have nothing to prove that they’re really quality singers. Shut up!

Come on people (dare I say grown ups), you’re criticising Carols language and her looks ?! Yes, her words weren’t too nice on twitter but some of yours aren’t any better than those found in a school playground, and are nothing short of plain rude. I guess it’s true that forums give low life’s an excuse to be nasty without being confronted. Perhaps some of you could have remembered that the subject was about her is singing, which was far better than that of Amelie.

To put the facts straight T,Pau were not one hit wonders , they had a very successful first album and tour with a number hit singles followed by a second album and tour which was not so successful but still paid the bills I guess!
Gary Barlow slated Amelia over the last two Xfactor shows for singing with too high a pitch. This is correct , Amelia’s voice runs out of steam on the higher notes and it begins to sound like shouting rather than singing. So gary’s comment about Carol Decker singing out of tune seems a little odd . I suspect That gary was trying not to be too damning to the 17 year old rather than having an out of the blue go at an old band frontswoman. He didnt think it through . Neither did Carol with her understandable but unfortunate repost.
Ginger Tom , you need to take off your rose tinted spectacles ! Amelia’s voice is fine on the lower stuff but cannot sustain high notes and sounds shallow when pushed .
Age comes to everyone, you included so have some respect !
gary RIGHT out of order ! no need to get personal & slate carol , who in my opinion sang perfect , i saw her at bridlington spa , & boy what a show it was pitch perfect, ok she had her day but, for one would rather listen to original any day . i suspect gary & humble pie tonight mate

Carol’s original version was far better and intune even though in them days she did not use autotune. Gary must of been in nappies when this came out so what does he know?

Obviously most are fans on here and prob family of the old trout, shes nasty, horrible to look at and has a foul mouth, the bit about having a go about Garys weight, if that were said in most cases it would be an outrage, so because she had a number 1 before black and white tv came on the scene lol she can say and do what she wants, i hope all the take that fans flood her site with nice comments, last word on the matter go and crawl under your ginger rock you horrible women
smart ass gary barlow..hope he can take the criticism in 20 years time, we all age. why go out of his way to insult someone for a classic original song ? tbh some of the take that songs are really crap. carol had more than one great song she had heart and soul too. barlow should be glad he was given a 2nd chance by the gullible public !!

The lead singer of a hasbeen boyband criticizing Carol Decker?? Haha! Chine In Your Hand is still a classic after 25 years, who will remember Amelia or whatever she is called in 6 months time?
I quite agree with Beni, Barlow should be grateful for his second chance. He thinks he is some sort of self-proclaimed musical messiah despite the fact the fact everything Take That have ever done “has been” a shower of shite. Even if Carol is only remembered for that one song, it is still ten times better than anything accomplished by Barlow and his X Factor pet.I imagine the people defending Gary Barlow are a bunch of bitter old women who cannot handle anything ill against their idol being said…. Sad
