SIMON’S SINGERS: 16-24


Nikitta Angus

AGE 17: Fulfilled mum’s dying wish to go on show. Simon said: “Your voice is fantastic… your mum would be proud.”

Stacey Barnes

AGE 19: Blonde Stacey from Leeds and has won a number of awards for her amazing disco dancing.

Leona Lewis
AGE 21: Wrote first song at 12 and debut album is out already. Went to prestigious Brit drama school, now works as receptionist.

Shaun Rogerson

AGE 16: Nervous Wigan student won hearts when he cried at first audition. Simon loved his “voice of an angel”, but has yet to hear a full song from Shaun.

Raymond Quinn

AGE 18: Awardwinning ex-Brookside actor, broke down as Simon rejected him, then tracked him down and asked him to return and take a place in his final 8 acts.

Ashley McKenzie

AGE 16:student and ex-male model. He told Simon: “Singing is my life… without it, it’s a dead end.”

Gemma Sampson
AGE 23: Gemma from London impressed the judges with her bubbly personality, powerful voice and trademark pigtails.

Carlo Muscutelli

AGE 20 something: Handsome young student from Liverpool who says his whole passion in life is to be a singer.

SHARON’S SINGERS: 25+

Jonathan Bremner
AGE 26: Cares for his seriously ill mum. An actor who has previously appeared in ‘The Bill’ Jonathan now dreams of a singing career.

Katy Angus
AGE 44: Factory worker Katy said getting through was “massive and overwhelming”. She’s the aunt of fellow hopeful Nikitta. She told Sharon she would be happy even if she didn’t make it any further, that made Sharon like her even more!

Lyn Fairbanks
AGE 63: Lyn is retired, and a grandmother… and by far the oldest of the all the X Factor hopefuls who got through.

Kerry McGregor
AGE 31: Mother to 16 month old Joshua, Kerry broke her back falling from a tree in her teens – singing career is her lifelong ambition.

Robert Allen

AGE 27: Robert is a hospital worker whose pregnant girlfriend is due to give birth in December.

Tiwa Savage

AGE 20 something: Nigerian-born Brit who is currently studying at the USA’s prestigious Berkeley College of Music.

Dionne Mitchell
AGE 26: Dionne, a Londoner, wowed judges with a soulful take on Aretha Franklin’s You Make Me Feel (Like A Natural Woman).

Ben Mills
AGE 26: Long-haired rocker Ben has a huge ambition to make it as a singer. He currently runs a business renting out marquees.

LOUIS’S GROUPS

The Unconventionals: Three boys, three girls… longtime pals Drew, Andrew, Tom, Nicola, Lucy and Liz. Can they score a Hear’Saystyle victory? The group thought they had sang themselves out of a place in the final as Drew forgot his lyrics in their final audition, but Louis loved them anyway.

Avenue: Five boys… Jamie, Max, Ross, Scott and Jonny hope to follow Blue to the top of the charts. It is rumoured that Avenue have since been disqualified from the X factor, we’ll find out next week.

4Sure: Also four boys… Donovan, Andrew, Chris and Jermaine.

Eton Road: This quartet are James, Anthony, David and Daniel – pals with an unusual style.

Dolly Rockers: Edgy Rocky type girl group. They are Lucy Kay, Brook Challinor and Sophia King.

Pure Liberty:
The sassy sisters are Karen Williams, Natasha Bridges and Claudia Young.

McDonald Brothers: More brothers!… these Glaswegian brothers are Brian and Craig MacDonald. Handsome boys, I’d love to meet their dad!

Brothers One : Brothers two actually… Noel and Mark are both call-centre workers who live in London and Brighton respectively
