Many people will think that it should have happened weeks ago, but tonight, The MacDonald Brothers were voted off the X factor show.

I had actually grown to like the boys – who wouldn’t! They seem like two really nice, down to earth fellas, but they just couldn’t match Ben and Leona’s talent. In saying that, neither can Ray!

I watched as the brothers performed Shang-A-Lang for the final time and knew that if they had performed like that the first time round they probably wouldn’t have been going home tonight.

It was a great final performance and I hope the boys do well in the future.
