Louis Walsh and Rita Ora are tipped to complete the 2014 X Factor judging panel according to a number of British bookmakers.
Both stars have seen the odds of them being appointed judges for the next edition of the show have been slashed following the news that Simon Cowell is set to return to the UK, with Louis now just 1/5 to remain on the panel. Rita’s odds of making her judging debut have been cut to evens from 3/1.
The bookies now believe there are only two spots up for grabs after suspending betting on Cheryl Cole making a return last week.
There’s also further good news for Simon Cowell in that the bookies already make him the favourite to be the winning judge on his comeback at 7/4 with Cheryl Cole 9/4.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “The odds of Louis and Rita completing the judging panel are now looking shorter than ever. It would be a serious upset if anyone else was to gatecrash the panel at this stage.”
He added: “It would be the perfect comeback if Simon was to win the show on his return and the betting suggests he will do exactly that.”
The star is coming home with his tail between his legs….not that he’d admit it.
It was also reported yesterday that Cowell is pushing to have Louis, Rita and Cheryl join him for the 2014 series, however insiders say Nicole Scherzinger and Dannii Minogue are on his shortlist, should any of the others fall through.
