X Factor USA: Chris Rene announces brand new Epic record deal
Chris Rene has revealed that he has landed his first ever record deal.
The 29 year old former trash collector from California finished as runner up in the recent series of the hit Fox talent show and has announced that he will join winner Melanie Amaro on the Epic label.
Rene will now work with label boss and X Factor judge L.A. Reid on his debut album and told Entertainment Weekly that the news is a dream come true for him.
The former drug addict raved:
“I’ve dreamt about this moment my whole life. And now its here. Working with L.A. Reid — ‘Big Homie’ – is a dream come true; he’s a great man.”
Chris has already started work on the new record and is eager to get it released later this year. He will be collaborating with producers J.R. Rotem and Marty James, who have previously worked with stars such as Rihanna, Sean Kingston, Iyaz and Jason Derülo.
He is also working with Gabriel Rene, music producer and former X Factor Denmark judge Soulshock and X Factor vocal producer Claude Kelly.
