X Factor USA: Simon Cowell admits L.A. Reid is ‘not someone you want to get on the wrong side of’

Simon Cowell has warned X Factor hopefuls that new judge L.A Reid has a ‘not so nice’ side.

The 51 year old star recently confirmed that he has hired the legendary record label boss for the new judging panel of his American series and in an interview with People admitted that he and Reid are unlikely to agree on the show. he said:

“I’ve seen the nice side of him and the not-so-nice side. He’s not someone you want to get on the wrong side of… [but] in life and in music, we all disagree on a lot of different things. I’m not sure that L.A. and me agree on everything, but we’re comfortable about that.

“I like him, I have a lot of respect for him, and he’s great fun. He’s really got a great sense of humour. He’s going in to do what he does for a living. He makes people stars.”

On what type of panel he hopes to create, Simon revealed that he wants tension and disagreements as were present on American Idol ten season ago.

He explained: “There should be tension to a point. I liked the Idol panel when we first started. We had different opinions, and I think it’s important you have different opinions.

“In life and in music, we all disagree on a lot of different things. The important thing is you’ve got to feel comfortable about disagreeing with each other.”
