X Factor USA: Simon Cowell insists he’s more unstable than Britney Spears

Simon Cowell has insisted that he is more of a liability on The X Factor than britney Spears.

Much has been made of rumours that the ‘Toxic’ hitmaker has reportedly stormed off the set of the Fox talent show on various occasions, since joining the judging panel last month. Insiders have reported that Britney is struggling with the pressures of appearing on such a high profile TV series and one in which she is expected to use to every opportunity to maximise her profile and reboot her career.

However, in an interview with X17 Online! the music mogul – who was said to be desperate to hire Spears ever since he sacked Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul in January – insisted that the blonde beauty is ‘working out great’ on the show and explained:

‘No she’s not unstable, I’m the one who’s unstable! She’s working out great, I mean, all these reports that we’ve fallen out, it’s nonsense. She’s doing a great job.’

It had been claimed that Britney was stalling proceedings at every auditions venue, because she had to take regular breaks due to her ADHD. But instead of damaging her psyche, or adding undue pressure to the star, Cowell believes the new job has actually been good for the mum of two and added:

‘Like I said, she’s been amazing. She’s really taking time to learn how to do this. She’s got her confidence up.

‘Once people give her a chance, I think people are really going to get her. She’s gonna be a big surprise. She’s a tough judge.’

Britney has certainly been implying that she is enjoying her X Factor experience on Twitter. She is right back in the spotlight again and after tryouts in Kansas wrapped up this week, she tweeted:

Felt good to be back at the judges table with @TheXFactorUSA crew today. Kansas City, u were amazing but this girl is tired! See u tmrw…

Insiders have backed up Cowell’s claims that Britney is a tough judge and one told People, that she isn’t afraid to say no to hopefuls.

They commented:

“She’s got a really good instinct, and when she loves something, she looks like she wants to dance on the desk,” a source tells PEOPLE. “When she doesn’t like someone, she is incredibly tough.”
