X Factor USA: Simon Cowell says Cheryl Cole is ‘special’
Simon Cowell has given a glowing reference to Cheryl Cole, who is rumoured to be joining him on his new American X factor series.
The TV boss, who originally hired the Girls Aloud singer for his UK version of the singing show in 2008, said that he did so because she was “bright, cute, and knew what she was talking about.”
Cowell was speaking to Deadline about whether it mattered if his new judging panel was distinctly British and said:
“I never think about it as an American or British audience. I genuinely don’t. I think that’s what’s happened on a lot of these shows now is it’s almost like you’ve got to hire well known celebrities to be a judge.
“And with Cheryl, when I hired her initially, I’d only met her literally once when I offered her the job on [UK] X Factor. I thought she was bright, cute, knew what she was talking about, ambitious.”
Cowell continued: “And you meet someone special a few times in your life… and this girl is special. She’s just got a great ability to communicate. She’s a great judge. She’s smart. It’s just a hunch.
“If people take to her like the British public did, I think she’s going to do really well in America. And Fox was desperate to hire her.”

She cant sing

She CAN sing, she sings very good in my opinion, but even if she can´t, so what! She is going to be judge not performer in that show.. donn´t you know that?
She will perform if she gets the job Its the only way she has ever had a number 1 and when i say perform thats what it will be.She hasnt done anything on her own and has made her name through other people.
Cheryl made her name in Girls Aloud, admittedly Simon Cowell gave her a bigger profile, but she was definitely well known in the UK before she joined the X Factor. Dannii Minogue has a lot to thank Simon Cowell for, she batted her eyelashes at hi to get the job on X Factor – she wouldn’t be as famous in the UK if it hadn’t been for SC.
It is not what you know but who you know ~ Cheryl’s career has gone from strength to strength from Girls Aloud,marriage to Ashley Cole,friends with Simon Cowell and a number of other celebrities including American celebrities ~ At the end of the day it is mostly the fans what makes them the stars of today
Cheryl still has a huge fan base so well done cheryl you and simon have great chemistry and will do well, and as for she cant sing well she has sold over 3 million records so alot of people thinks she can!!!!
