Simon Cowell looked a little different this week on The X Factor USA.

The music mogul showed up to judge on the hit Fox show but in just a week his face seemed to have got a lot bigger and viewers were surprised by his chubby cheeks, his double chin and his lumpy neck.

Rumours have circulated for years that the TV boss regularly has cosmetic surgery to keep himself looking young, however the SYCO boss was definitely not looking his best this week as he posed for the cameras with Baywatch babe Carmen Electra.

Simon has been under a LOT of pressure of late, as both the UK and US series’ of his singing show have struggled to bring in the ratings and audience numbers he and the TV networks have been striving for.

Cowell’s weight has certainly fluctuated over the years but he normally gets it under control before it gets too far and has spoken on many occasions about his veggie smoothies, his weird juices and a strict diet that he adheres to in order to stay suave and svelte.

Perhaps he has been turning to junk food and takeaways as he works late into the night to sort out the issues with his floundering TV shows

Simon will be keeping his fingers crossed that his latest X Factor winner James Arthur will be able to turn things around, and the 23 year old is off to a good start and looks set to top the charts this weekend with his debut single Impossible.’

Cowell is backing him all the way and tweeted:

‘Looks like James Arthur is going to have a massive hit this week. Congratulations.’

ITV confirmed this morning that Simon would be back for the 2013 series of Britain’s Got Talent, along with Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams.

Maybe a trip back to the UK and his friends and family is just what he needs!
