X Factor Votes Fall By 50%

This years series of X Factor is said to have lost £10 million in revenue after its votes fell by approximately 50%.

An ITV source told the Daily Mail: “We’ve been told that voting for The X Factor has been down around 50 per cent on last year.”

Recent TV voting scandals are thought to have caused massive public distrust of the phone vote system due to recent ITV scandals.

Also contributing to the fall is the lack of text and interactive ‘red button’ voting this year.

If this amount of revenue is lost the show will have to
    change next year.

The TV companies need to restore the viewers faith in phone voting and competitions that offer a real chance of winning.
