X Factor 28th November – The Unreality TV Chart

The X Factor semi finals are almost upon us and tonight’s Take That and Elton John themed show saw some of our contestants up their game massively and some seemed to fall badly by the wayside.

Here’s who we thought were the best and worst of the night, we know that many of you will disagree with our choices so feel free to leave your own charts and comments below.

1: Joe McElderry - We have loved wee Joe from day one of this years X Factor, however he now seems to be emerging as a real contender for the crown. We think his final performance of Elton John’s ‘Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word’ was possibly the best song of the series.

2: Olly Murs – When we heard that Olly would be singing Take That ballad ‘Love Ain’t Here Anymore’ we were worried. We weren’t sure that Olly had the vocals for the song but boy did he prove us wrong. We love Olly’s charisma as well as his dulcet tones and it was a little freaky that he looked quite like Gary Barlow’s long lost brother at parts. It’s the square jaw we think.

3: Danyl Johnson – Danyl finally performed an uptempo number tonight and his students were right, the boy really can dance. We felt that in the first song, his vocals suffered a bit because of the routine and though he sang it well, we weren’t sure about the Moulin Rouge version of ‘Your Song’.

4: Lloyd Daniels – We have always thought that little Welsh Lloyd was one of the weakest singers on this year’s X Factor. However tonight he definitely improved. For his second song Cheryl chose ‘I’m Still Standing’ and for the first time we got a glimpse of charisma and excitement from Lloyd, though his vocals were flat as a pancake at times. There’s no way he can win the show, but if he gets voted out tomorrow night, Lloyd will leave on a high.

5: Stacey Solomon: Stacey, Stacey, Stacey….girl what happened to you tonight? Having never been in the bottom two Stacey seemed a likely candidate for winning the show, however if she survives this week she would need to improve her vocal performance dramatically for the semi final. Stacey knew before she even started Rule The World that it was too low for her, it makes you wonder why Dannii didn’t change it. Her last number may have been a bit sexier than we are used to but the vocals were weak and pitchy. We weren’t loving the pride of Dagenham tonight.
