X Factor Wins National Television Award!

Last night at the National Television Awards 2005 X Factor picked up the award for Most Popular Entertainment Programme beating stiff competition from Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, and Strictly Come Dancing.

Receiving the award at the glitzy ceremony in the Royal Albert Hall, Cowell said: “I suppose we have to thank the people that make the show - the contestants.”
