Fans of X Factor will doubtless remember Aiden Grimshaw, who made it to the live rounds of the show in 2010 alongside the likes of Cher Lloyd, Matt Cardle, Rebecca Ferguson and some band called One Direction, whoever they are…

However, joking aside, contestants from 2010 have of course gone on to have amazing careers, and now, it seems Aiden is hoping to emulate their success with the release of a new album and a singe from that album entitled, Curtain Call.

We have a track’s official video for you after the jump, and as you’ll see, as well as featuring Aiden – which some of his former music vids haven’t – he’s joined by buddies racing motorbikes and jumping into swimming pools, all carefree and willy and/or nilly.

We see Aiden singing the track as he strolls along the River Thames, and as he rides public transport…

Speaking to Entertainmentwise recently about the album, which is entitled Misty Eye, Aiden said, “The album is out in August so its just all about gearing up for that really.

“I’ll be doing a collection of gigs around the UK within the same sort of time period.

“The live thing is really important to us, and I really want fans to see the album live and at its best.”

Curtain Call will be released on August 12, followed by Misty Eye on August 20, but for now, here’s the video…
