One Direction toured with the American band last year and soon it will be Cher Lloyd’s turn to team up with Big Time Rush.
It’s been revealed that the X Factor star has become such a big hit in America that the teen singer has been asked to make an appearance on the band’s show, also named ‘Big Time Rush.’
It’s been confirmed that the Malvern lass will be in the states to film her episode next week and that her special will air in a few months time. The ‘Swagger Jagger’ star will star as herself – that should be easy then – and will act opposite James and Katie who come up with a lie and claim they’re releasing their own duet and video.
‘We have been a huge fan of Cher Lloyd’s work since X Factor,” said bandmember Logan Henderson. ‘We are so excited to have her guest starring on Big Time Rush. She has a charming, sweet, and funny personality, which is a perfect fit for our show.’
Almost a year ago Cher announced she has started work on her second album and went on to re-release her single “Want U Back” in the US which featured Snoop Dogg. L.A. Reid has promoted her music aggressively in America and the song peaked at number 4 on the US iTunes chart and 5 on the Billboard Digital Songs, being the 5th most downloaded song of the week selling 128.000 copies. As of November 2012, the single has sold 2,000,000 copies in the US and has been certified platinum. In comparison it only shifted 100,000 copies in the UK.
It seems that the singer is big news in America then. We hope this doesn’t mean that we lose her permanently to those Yanks. We’re joking, of course we’re joking. Well done Ms Lloyd!
