X Factor’s Cheryl Cole to perform new single on The Voice UK
Cheryl Cole is reportedly planning to perform her brand new single on the upcoming series of The Voice.
The former X Factor judge will lay the boot into Simon Cowell one last time – after he sacked her from X Factor USA last year – by giving a live performance on his rival BBC show, at the request of her manager and The Voice judge Will.i.am.
Simon Cowell recently admitted that he is furious with BBC bosses, for planning to run their new talent series against Britain’s Got Talent each Saturday night and it seems that Cheryl Cole is going to make the news even more bitter, by helping the rival show in the ratings war.
A source told The Daily Star:
“Cheryl should be releasing her single when The Voice is on TV so it makes sense to combine the two.”
They added: “Cheryl’s manager Will.i.am is obviously a judge on the show so he’s already been talking to producers to get the ball rolling.
“The BBC are desperate to beat Cowell and BGT in the ratings and they know there’s no better way to do that than by get- ting Cheryl to perform her new single for the very first time live on the show.
“Cheryl would be a massive ratings winner and scoop for The Voice.”
The source added: “It will also be a good way for Cheryl to stick up a cheeky one finger salute at Simon.”
Will.i.am recently hit out at Simon Cowell and insisted that despite his attempts to get Cheryl back on The X Factor, she will never work for him again.
he is still bearing a huge grudge against the TV boss, for his slight against the Girls Aloud singer and is seemingly set to make life as difficult as possible for the music mogul.
