X Factor judge Dannii Minogue is reportedly on the brink of becoming engaged to her boyfriend Kris Smith. Sources close to the pair say that both are planning to talk to their families about the move over the Christmas break, before Kris formally pops the question.

One pal told The People: “She is a traditional girl at heart and wants to do things the right way.

“Kris has let slip to a couple of his closest friends that he intends to make an honest woman of her during this Christmas.”

Another pal revealed: “She has said several times that she knows Kris is The One.

“She has missed him like crazy while he has been in Melbourne and couldn’t wait to be back in his arms.

“Being apart has made them realise just how much they want to be together as man and wife.”

Dannii has previously said of Kris: “The best thing is that he loves me when I’ve got pimples and I’m wearing my dirty tracksuit bottoms and Ugg boots. That’s the test, I guess.

“Kris is very, very broody. He asks me on a daily basis if we can have a baby.”
