X Factor’s Gary Barlow takes on solo concert in London’s Royal Albert Hall

Gary Barlow is one busy man.

He is in the last week of the X Factor series and in the next few days has to work with his act Marcus Collins on his finale songs, as well as paying a visit to the singer’s hometown of Liverpool later this week.

The dad of three couldn’t have picked a worse time then to line up a huge solo concert for himself but despite his hectic schedule, audience members say the Take That star excelled when he sang at London’s Royal Albert Hall tonight.

The singer songwriter took on his first proper solo gig in more than ten years just a few hours ago and all proceeds raised by the event were donated to British charity the Prince’s Trust.

He was joined by a number of special guests including his old friend Lulu, his best pal Jason Donovan and Xtra Factor host Olly Murs at various points throughout the night.

Gary performed a number of self penned Take That tunes, including Greatest Day, Never Forget and Pray – to which he reportedly even performed the dance routine – and also included a number of swing songs such as Fly Me To The Moon and Under My Skin

Before the concert Barlow tweeted his fans excitedly, writing:

To everyone coming to the Albert Hall tonight, I hope u enjoy it cos I’m sooooo ready for a gig !

The X Factor judge is selling merchandise from the concert on his website and £5 per item sold will be donated to The Princes Trust.
