X Factor winner Joe McElderry has admitted that he only got two hours sleep after last night’s live final.

Joe partied the night away with family and friends, before he had to make an early start and begin promoting his debut single, The Climb.

Joe told Phil and Holly on This Morning:

‘I’ve had two hours sleep but I’m on such a buzz it doesn’t matter, I don’t care.

‘It still hasn’t sunk in, it just feels like I’m floating like in a dream.

‘I know, six months ago I would never have thought I’d be singing with George Michael, Paul McCartney, Queen… the opportunities I’ve had has been fantastic.’

When asked how he felt about taking 61.3% of the public vote on last night’s show, Joe told GMTV:

“I am still pinching myself, I cannot believe it, that I am sitting here, and that I have just won X Factor.’

‘I think it is going to take a long time to sink in. It was just amazing, it has been the best experience of my life.’

He added: ‘I just feel like I am in this dream and then it keeps hitting me.’
