X Factor’s Mel B & Hollyoaks’ Jorgie Porter get naked for Cosmopolitan breast cancer awareness campaign (PICTURES)
Mel B is not shy and in her latest photoshoot, the X Factor Australia judge has gone topless.
The mum of three used just the hands of her husband Stephen Belafonte to protect her modesty in the new Cosmopolitan spread, which was shot for a brand new breast cancer awareness campaign recently.
The couple were attempting to recreate Janet Jackson’s iconic Rolling Stone cover, in which she also showed almost all of her curves.
Mel and Stephen agreed to take part, as part of their bid to support charity CoppaFeel!, and to mark Breast Cancer Awareness month in 2012.
This annual campaign takes place every October in order to increase awareness of breast cancer. During the month, information and support is offered to those who are affected by the disease. In addition, the awareness month provides an opportunity to remind women to be breast aware for earlier detection of cancer.
In an interview in Cosmopolitan magazine, Mel revealed that having been through a cancer scare herself in the past, she felt it was important to throw her celebrity status behind this good cause.
She said: ‘ I found a lump when I was 17 and freaked out. It turned out it was nothing but it terrified me. Ever since, I’ve always been one for checking, then double checking.
Belafonte didn’t hate the shoot either and admitted that he’ll take any opportunity he gets, to cop a feel of his wife’s ample bosom. He said:
‘I’m a boob man so I had absolutely no problem doing this shoot or helping my wife check her breasts.
‘What man wouldn’t like that? It’s a fun thing to do and so very important.’
Hollyoaks beauty and Dancing On Ice star Jorgie Porter also got her breasts out for the campaign and was joined in her sexy shot by her co-star and boyfriend James Atherton.
The 24 year old actress revealed why she wanted to be a part of the campaign and explained:
‘I was so excited to take part in this shoot with James. Janet Jackson’s Rolling Stone cover is so iconic. But it’s for a great cause too.
‘Checking your boobs can be scary – you don’t want to find anything. But it’s so important you do as it could save your life. James and I make it fun – plus, I check his bits too!’
James added: ‘Raising awareness of any type of cancer is something that’s close to my heart.
‘It’s a terrible illness and seeing someone you love go through it is devastating. In the case of breast cancer, a simple check can prevent it spreading. There will be regular boob checks for us now!’
