X Factor’s Rylan Clark to replace Emma Willis on Big Brother’s Bit On The Side?
Another day, another job for Rylan Clark it would seem.
After months of speculation that he could be about to take the Xtra Factor reigns from Olly Murs when the show returns later this year, today it has been reported that actually, the X Factor star will be heading to Channel 5 instead.
After finishing his time on the ITV singing series, Rylan went on to win Celebrity Big Brother and seeing what a hit he was with viewers, it’s been claimed that bosses now want to hire him to front Big Brother spinoff show Big Brother’s Bit On The Side.
It is rumoured that current presenter Emma Willis will be replacing Brian Dowling on the main show and The Daily Mail’s Dan Wootton claims that Clark is front in line to take the mum of two’s old job.
This turn of events occurred apparently, because ITV were desperate to retain Olly Murs for Xtra Factor, leaving Rylan to seek other opportunities.
A source told the newspaper today: ” Olly was so successful on the show and the main reason behind its increased ratings. We are considering ways to make it work for him.”
Meanwhile, Rylan will return to our screens tonight, as part of the live Comic Relief show. He will be featured in a clip about Simon Cowell’s faux wedding and will join X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent contestants The Show Bears and Paul Potts, along with Louis Walsh, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Sinitta for the sketch.
He shared this picture of the event on Twitter today and added the caption:
“The secret’s out! You’ve gotta watch @comicrelief from 7pm tomorrow night. Amazing cause, please give generously! x ”
