X Factor’s Winners Song: Don’t Stop Believin’ or ‘The Climb’
X Factor judge Simon Cowell is reportedly close to choosing the Journey track ‘Don’t Stop Believin’ as this years winner’s song for the show.
Many have taken this song choice as a sign that Cowell expects young Joe McElderry to win the show, after all Joe sang this song amazingly well during Rock Week.
Simon’s second choice for the record is the Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus song ‘The Climb’, which he will no doubt opt for if it looks like Stacey Solomon may scoop the top spot.

Somehow if joe could sing a song 10 times better than the guy who wrote it (Take in to account if he wrote it, it would perfectly fitted to his voice) then maybe he would be doing something useful with his life not losing integrity on the x factor, like a new car loses value. The xfactor is a drole, painfully bad, awfully designed and mostly fake, excuse for a tv show. The music that comes out the end sucks and it just proves what sort of awful, awful belief this country has, that this is music.

I hope its “The Climb” because it really is unfair that Joe has already sung it plus all the contestants could sing the song well!
It should definately be ‘Don’t Stop Believing’ the song is amazing and as Joe should win anyway, as his voice is absolutely exceptional, i think that he should have the perfect song for him!!
The most disgustingly bad rendition of the song I have ever heard. He doesn’t deserve credit for it since he hasn’t got the vocal style to carry that song nor anything behind it. When I heard it being a big Journey fan I actually felt sick, he didn’t make the song his own, he just totally butchered it.

How can anyone say that Joe ‘butchered’ that song?! His version was 10 times better than the original and if you can’t hear that then you must be completely tone deaf!! Joe has a perfect melody to his voice and has been outstandingly consistant throughout the whole competition!! I believe it is time to have a another exceptional guy win the show after Shayne Ward did not get enough publicity to make it big unlike Leona Lewis!!
Here’s a novel idea..why can’t Simon stop taking classics and have one of his minions to write a completely new song for the winner? There is no dispute that these contestants sound great singing these songs, but I feel that there is no real feeling or passion behind the voices or arrangements. I do not get goosebumps listening to Alex’s ‘Hallelujah’, or this version of ‘Don’t stop believing’.
I can’t believe what I’m reading here. Who the hell decided Don’t Stop Believin’ would be a good song choice? It’s one of the greatest songs ever written and soon to become one of the worst songs ever performed if one of these sing it. Cowell, if you’re going to choose a song of that calibre, at least choose talent of the same calibre to sing it, which there isn’t in this competition, not even close.

The Climb would suit Stacey and the other song would suit Joe, this is completely unfair, what about the Danyl and Olly supporters??!! Whatever the X Factor isn’t about singing anymore.
If Don’t Stop Believin’ is used I will totally lose all faith in the so called powers of the record industry. Who in god’s name would ever pick such a powerful song to be murdered by the lack of talent on this show. Cowell – do something before its too late!!

If that song is used for the winner,im going to tell every single person i meet to go out and but the original and get that to number 1! OMG are you guys stupid im 16 and yes joe did sing it quite well but in no way will he ever ever be able to hit the octave singing range that steve perry (singer of journey) can this man has to be one on the best males singers of all time if not the best. for proof of this search the journey song faithfully in which you hear how amazing his voice is. I do like joe but he isnt in the same league as perry, in fact many leagues lower. 10 times better than journey your an idiot. joe cant hold the long notes if you listen to them both intently!!

My God. Someone must’ve dropped a brick on Simon Cowell’s head. Because honestly – why pick a song that only two out of four semi-finalists can sing?! I’m no Olly fan and it would be hilarious to watch him attempt to sing the climb, and it won’t do wonders for Danyl either, And Joe has an advantage with the Journey song and that’s not fair either; can’t they get someone to write the winner’s song instead of pinching other ones?! And if they’re gonna take other ones pick songs that suit all of them; not just one conestant!
