Xtra Factor bosses lining up JLS, The Wanted and McFly to co-host with Caroline Flack
While Xtra Factor presenter Olly Murs is on tour in the summer, Caroline Flack – who of course co-hosts the X Factor add on show – will have some of the UK’s most popular boy bands helping her to present the show.
TV Biz reports that the show’s bosses are keen to sign JLS, The Wanted and McFly for the show, among other popular bands.
An insider told TV Biz, “Olly has basically ruled himself out of the audition stages of The Xtra Factor by going to the US to tour with One Direction.
“He’ll be back for the live shows but in the meantime we need stand-ins as it’s quite a rowdy show and works better with more than one presenter.
“It was going to just be JLS before, who have experience of the show as that’s what shot them to fame…
“But during talks we realised that it might be better if we used a few boy bands.”
It’s probably for the best that One Direction will be on tour and therefore couldn’t be roped into co-hosting with Caroline. How awkward would that be? Yikes.
Which bands would you like to see co-hosting with Caroline on Xtra Factor this year?
